Privacy policy: Helen, by bathe
Who we are
Helen is run by bathe, the trading name of James Monjack. Contact: hello@talktohelen.com.
What we collect
- If you ask for an invite, through LinkedIn or by email: your name and email address.
- If you use Helen: the email address you sign in with, and records of your use (when you used it and how many replies), without what you wrote.
- Your conversations are not kept unless you choose to share one. A shared conversation is kept for up to 14 days for review. Our hosting provider's backups may keep a copy for about seven days more.
Why, and on what basis
To send your invite, let you sign in, and run and improve the alpha. We rely on your request and on our legitimate interest in running the alpha safely. Sharing a conversation for review is your choice, and you can turn it off at any time.
Who else handles it
- Render, our hosting provider (EU servers).
- Google, which runs our email.
- Anthropic, which produces Helen's replies. Anthropic is in the United States, so your messages are sent outside the UK, under Anthropic's commercial data terms.
- GitHub, which holds operational records containing no names or messages.
- LinkedIn, if you asked for an invite through LinkedIn.
We don't sell your data or share it with anyone else.
How long
- Invite details and account and usage records: deleted within 30 days after the alpha closes, or sooner if you ask. Backups may keep a copy for about seven days more.
- Shared conversations: up to 14 days, as above.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to its use: email hello@talktohelen.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
